Newport Farms 4th Annual Fishing Derby 2022

 

Fishing Derby Guidelines and Rules
The fishing derby will be held on September 24, 2022 at the large pond on Margie Way. Please avoid blocking the road as much as possible.

• Newport Farms fishing derby is for ages 3-18 years old.
• Contest hours are from l 0am to 12pm. Everyone is welcome to enjoy food from 12pm to 1 pm. Trophies and Prizes will be given out during this time.
• Any fish caught before the starting time of 10am will NOT count as part of the Derby.
• All contestants must fish from the shoreline
• Only ONE fishing line per contestant will be allowed to be qualified for prizes in the Derby.
• All fish must be caught by the contestants fishing pole. Once viewd by the judges, ALL fish must be releases back into the pond.
• The assistance of young contestants by an adult is encouraged, however, adults cannot fish for their children and children must be actively involved in the catching of all fish.
• All decisions by judges are FINAL. Any arguments or disagTeements will be immediate grounds for disqualification.
• Award winners must be present at the registration table from 12pm to 1pm to receive their prize.

Contestants can only place within 1 of the 2 categories

-    LARGEST FISH 3-7 years old/ 8-12 years old/ 13-18 years old
-    MOS'T' FISH CAUGHT 3-7 years old/ 8-12 years old/ 13-18 years old

You do not have to fish, come enjoy the food and socialize!
