Race Into August
July 26, 2021
Due to the many requests, the office has decided to coordinate a Community Yard Sale! This is planned to be during the weekend of August 21st-22nd from 10am-3pm and will be advertised online. If participating, you must keep all items for sale in your yard or carport and not in the street. We cannot suspend city parking enforcement so please be aware and share with any customers about “loading only” and not parking in the fire lanes.
Cat owners; please do your best to keep your cat indoors. The pet agreement does not allow unrestrained pets outdoors, not to mention it exposes our feline friends to many health, safety, and environmental risks. The American Bird Conservancy says: “In the United States alone, outdoor cats kill ~2.4 billion birds every year. Although this number may seem unbelievable, it represents the combined impact of tens of millions of outdoor cats.” Fights amongst cats can also seriously injure your furry family members or put them at risk to catching feline-borne illnesses and disease. Lots of toys, perches, and scratching posts can help keep those kitties entertained and happy at home.
Who here likes eating food? I know I do! We’d like to plan a food truck event for resident appreciation. In order to help us plan, we need a general idea of how many people would be willing to participate so the mobile kitchens can be prepared. Once scheduled, the dates, times, and menu will be communicated via email. Please complete the bottom portion of the flyer, cut and return to the front office mail slot (not the check deposit) to get this convoy moving!
Here’s what’s cruising around the beach lately: Bella Terra is open for fun! On Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons there will be live music on the green (in front of the cinema) and Mondays host free kids crafts beginning at 10am. All month long, in the same area there will be a photo-op selfie station to show all your followers how cool it is to #BeHere in Huntington.
From the 14th-15th, Sunset Beach will have its 53rd annual free Art Festival with galleries, exhibits, arts & crafts, a kid’s zone, and live entertainment right on Sunset Beach Greenbelt at Broadway and PCH. For more information or to apply to be a vendor, you can visit SunsetBeachArtFestival.net
We hope this August doesn’t drive you too wild and remember to refuel yourself with plenty of water!
